Black currants (Ribes nigrum) are better known in Europe and a long-time favourite in Britain. This fruit represents new opportunities by its flavour, texture and health benefits.

Black currant fruits are luscious, smooth-skinned, black berries that form highly aromatic clusters. They are traditionally used to make liquors, dried fruit, syrups, jellies, perfumes, etc. Their juice is thick and of a colour akin to purple. The astringent taste of black currants enhances the flavour of several sauces and meat dishes, as well as desserts. They are rich in tannins, aromas and vitamins.

Our dried black currants are prepared with care. The proof is in the taste: a delightful cherry that is juicier, plumper, and softer.

Organic dried black currants are prepared with non-GMO ingredients, from whole fruits with added sugar or apple juice. We add less than 1% of sunflower oil, just enough so that the fruits don't agglomerate into clumps. They contain no additives or preservatives.
